Tutorial: Chief Cook's Hat

Ho ho ho~ Kagamin wants to learn cooking now?! Just right after Cosplaying as a Neko?!

I thought that a cook’s hat would be great… (Especially on Yako) so i went ahead and made 1! ^^;

—- Tutorial —-

Rectangle Strips – Length 6cm, width 1cm
Long…. Strip – Length 17cm, width 2cm

Protip: Don't Follow my Mishap!!

Note: Some Image’s Size might be different to the actual size… this is because I made a mistake and had to do all over again. Plus, during the 2nd time i did, I completely forgot to take pictures.

Actual Size! (Thin and slender)

Cut the felts straight… Sew them side by side. When you finish, you will get a nice frilly cook’s hat like visual effect.

Cut the Velcro (Hooks) to the length of the Frilly Structure… Sew the Velcro on THE LEFT side of the Frilly Structure.

It should look like that after you sew the Velcro on.

Check the width of the Frilly Structure to see if it matches the Rim of the hat.

IF it is not long enough,
Add more frills

Sew Sew Sew!!!

Sew the Rim onto the Frilly Structure.

Don't get Velcros' which comes with Glue/ Tape Applied on... Its really difficult to work with.

Next, locate the place where you sew the Velcro(Hooks) onto… Flip it the other side, and sew the Velcro (Loops) on THE RIGHT SIDE of the Frilly Structure. [Protip: Velcro should not be Back facing Back or on the same side]

Final Result should be something like this.
